Manhanga / Pumpkins

Well I don’t think I can classify pumpkin as fruit or as vegetables, all I know is that its good food when boiled and we mainly eat boiled pumpkins for breakfast.

Some now opt to cut it into very small pieces and prepare them as butternuts and some prefer mashed pumpkins.


A pumpkin plant has other sources of food

  1. Leaves / Muboora – vegetables
  2.  Flowers – flavourant and colourant to muboora
  3. Pumpkin seeds – can be roasted as nuts
