Mapudzi / Squashes

Usually boiled to be eaten with sips of tea or maheu.

How to prepare mapudzi
  1. Wash the outside of the budzi or mapudzi (squash(es))
  2. Cut them into your prefered sizes. My mother prefers the ones shown below
  3. Boil in salted water for 20-30 minutes

 

On serving
  1. you can serve the pieces as they are or
  2. add them to milk and make some kind of a cereal with it
